Almaty Symphony Orchestra was established in 2012 at the initiative of the outstanding violin virtuoso Marat Bisengaliyev and with the support of producer Kairat Kulbayev. This creative group united young talented and ambitious musicians.

The auditions were blind, which helped the jury objectively assess and impartially select the applicants. As a result, a number of winners of national and international competitions joined the Orchestra. You can find out more about each musician in the Musicians section.

Since 2020, Yerzhan Kulibayev, the artistic director of the Orchestra has become one of the most iconic musicians of the new generation in Kazakhstan.
